70’s fashion gave women the look they needed; they defined style in their own way. They dressed wildly and looked completely original. Casual dressing was the motto of the 70’s. Women felt most comfortable in flower printed maxi dresses, or simply where a decorative pair of denim bell bottoms which looked  fabulous on mostly everyone. 70’s fashion had certain advantages, because it gave women the casual modern  look, and a great escape from an otherwise monotonous way of dressing.

Working women loved these trends, because finding a balance between clothing and work can really be a problem, and 70’s fashion trends gave them the freedom to wear casual dresses and still be in fashion. Styles back then were colourful and free. The affection for wearing vintage fashion or vintage-inspired styles is catered for by the multitude of new vintage fashion stores now appearing on our high streets.
